Floor systems
Different types of livestock require different types of floors to ensure good production results. RONAR RUSS recommends the following types of floors:Sows: partially concrete slatted and partially solid concrete floors.
Boars: partially concrete slatted and partially solid concrete floors.
Insemination / early gestating sows: concrete slatted floor in pens rear part.
Gestation: concrete slatted floor in pens rear part. Partially concrete slatted and partially solid concrete floors in pens for group housing.
Farrow: cast iron slatted floor under the sow and plastic slatted floor for pigs on both sides of the sow.
Rearing: plastic slatted floor.
Finishing: partially concrete slatted and partially solid concrete floors.
*It is important that floors of all types were installed correctly and had a smooth surface to avoid injuries.
